Objective

This SOP explains how to resolve a 404 Page Not Found error that appears when logging into the Float Loyal dashboard. The fix involves correcting the funnel URL path in the publishing settings so the dashboard loads properly.

Key Steps

 

1. Open Sites and Funnels 0:01

  • From the Float Loyal dashboard area, navigate to Sites and Funnels.

  • Select Funnels to locate the funnel connected to the dashboard page.

  • Identify the page that is producing the 404 error.

 

2. Locate the Incorrect URL Path 0:31

  • Find the funnel step labeled admin portal app.

  • Review the URL structure shown for that step.

  • Look for an incorrect extra set of numbers or a hyphen in the path.

  • The URL should be formatted as /admin portal app without the extra characters.

 

3. Edit the Publishing Settings 0:46

  • Click Publishing for the affected funnel step.

  • Remove everything after the P in the URL path so the address is corrected.

  • Confirm the path matches the intended dashboard route.

  • Click Update Step to save the change.

 

4. Verify the Dashboard Loads Correctly 0:54

  • Wait for the page to refresh after saving.

  • Return to the dashboard page.

  • Confirm the 404 error is gone and the dashboard opens normally.

  • If needed, click the dashboard link again to verify the fix.

Cautionary Notes

  • Only edit the URL path for the affected funnel step.

  • Be careful not to remove valid parts of the route when deleting the extra characters.

  • Always click Update Step after making changes, or the fix will not be saved.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Compare the current URL against the expected route before editing.

  • After saving, immediately test the dashboard link to confirm the issue is resolved.

  • If multiple funnel steps exist, focus only on the one tied to the dashboard error.
