Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to effectively send a text blast using the Snippets feature, ensuring messages are personalized and scheduled correctly.

Key Steps

 

1. Navigate to Conversations 0:00

  • Open the application and go to the Conversations tab.

  • Locate the black box labeled Snippets at the top.

 

2. Access Snippets Page 0:09

  • Click on the Snippets box to be redirected to the Snippets page.

 

3. Create a New Snippet 0:48

  • Click on the flashing blue box and select New Snippet.

  • Choose Add Text Snippet to open the snippet creation box.

 

4. Personalize Your Message 1:03

  • Name your snippet (e.g., Customer Appreciation Day).

  • Write a personalized message using the contact's first name by selecting the contact tag next to the smiley face.

 

5. Add Message Content 1:44

  • Complete your message (e.g., "Hello [First Name], it's going to be Customer Appreciation Day on 12/12/2025. We want you there!").

  • Optionally, add an attachment (e.g., an image) to your message.

 

6. Test Your Snippet 2:26

  • Use the test snippet feature by entering your phone number and sending a test message to ensure it appears correctly.

  • After confirming your snippet is correct, save it.

  • Navigate to the Contacts tab and select Loyalty Members.

  • Use the checkbox to select all contacts, ensuring you have more than eight members.

 

9. Send SMS to Selected Contacts 3:25

  • Click on More and select Send SMS.

  • Label the action for future reference (e.g., Customer Appreciation Day 12/25).

  • Select the snippet you created earlier to auto-fill the message.

  • Decide whether to send the message immediately or schedule it for a later date.

  • If scheduling, select the desired date and time (e.g., December 19th at 11 a.m.).

  • Check the box confirming that all recipients have consented to receive messages.

  • Click Send SMS to schedule the message.

  • Use the Check Progress feature to monitor the status of your sent messages.

  • After the message is sent, review the statistics to see delivery success, errors, or skips.

Cautionary Notes

  • Always ensure you are texting only those who have opted in to avoid legal issues and potential suspension.

  • Double-check the message content for accuracy before sending to avoid corrections later.

  • Double-check that you have selected all contacts, as only the first 20 or 50 may be selected by default.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Create text snippets for frequently used messages to save time in the future.

  • Regularly update your Loyalty Members List to ensure compliance with opt-in regulations.
